Biography

Bobs experience with belt drives spans over 20 years, his racing experience nearly double that time. Bob started racing in 1965, a 125 BSA Bantam, winning the club championship in 1969/70. Riding the Bantam at the Diamond Jubilee TT in 1967 he picked up a well- deserved finishers medal. He raced a Norton Commando (1972-1976) and from 1974-1978 raced in European endurance riding Jock Robertson`s Rob North triples. He is probably best known for riding the Mularney Manx that he first raced in 1974. Since then he has had numerous wins, including 500cc multi – national Classic champion 1981/2/3/7, Classic Superprix Brands Hatch Historic TT Assen, Chimay & Mettet (Belgium) and Linkoping (Sweden). For the Post TT at Mallory he used the 350cc Mularney Manx as well as the 500cc winning both races. Bob returned to the Isle of Man after a gap of 26 years finishing 4th in the MGP Junior Classic race. Bob continues to race both machines.

Another side to Bob’s business, preparing engines, has resulted in various successes, including:

Bob Heath – Triple Senior Classic Manx winner.

Lars Sandberg – Scandinavian champion and Nordic Classic Cup champion.

Ardrie de Ridder – INCA champion.
